The last trolley car in Akron ran in March of 1947

 


 

True – The last day of trolley car service in Akron was March 26, 1947. Trolley cars provided mass transportation to Akron and the surrounding communities for 65 years. The first electric trolley car was connected on October 2, 1888 and service began on October 10, 1888.
